They are made from a single block of wood with a repetitive cross carving on the entire surface under the envelope in the traditional form of a spider's web.
The Bamileke ethnic group has dedicated itself to trade and craftsmanship for centuries, a discipline in which they have achieved a surprising mastery. Especially in the monoxile technique (sculpting from a single piece of wood).
